About Print People & Our Printing Process

At Print People USA, our goal is to provide you with affordable custom printing. Whether you want a unique gift for someone special or need 1,000 promotional items to giveaway at a tradeshow, we can help! Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our printing process or products we offer. We want to be YOUR print people!

So who are we? Well, we’re your neighbors, your friends, your family, and YOUR print people. We are passionate about printing. Whether it’s your child’s first birthday photo, a photo of everyone at the family reunion, your jersey number, something you drew or painted, or simply art we create according to your specifications, we love to see your images in full, vibrant color on the item of your choice.

Although our business Print People is fairly new, we’re veterans in the printing and marketing industry with over 12 years experience. We transitioned from sales and promotions to screenprinting, and now with the digital age we’ve evolved from silk screen printing to digital sublimation.

What is sublimation you might ask? Here’s a little chemistry and science for you. Sublimation is the term used when a solid is heated and skips the liquid stage, going straight to a gas. The way our special inks work, your image is digitally enhanced and then printed onto a paper made to hold these solid inks. We then add heat and pressure to the inks once in contact with the item being printed, and those inks turn to a gas. They bond with the substrate and become a permanent part of the fabric, plastic, or metal being printed. Once bonded, they never peel or crack like screenprinted items do because they are a PERMANENT part of the material. Items stay as vibrant as the day they were printed with the exception of outdoor items which eventually begin to fade due to prolonged UV exposure after many months or even years. Indoor items can last 10-15 years or even more. We have several items printed over 10 years ago that still look as great as they did the day they were printed.

The other advantage of sublimation printing versus screenprinting is the flexibility of the process. When a t-shirt is screen printed, art has to be transferred to screens which is a process that can take several hours. Then the screens have to be lined up in a press, ink has to be mixed and color matched, a press operator has to print the shirts, and then they have to be cured in a 400 degree dryer. After that, screens have to be cleaned, reclaimed, and the process starts over. Not only that, but each color you add to a design is an additional screen and a higher price. Needless to say, this is not a process anyone would want to pay for to have one shirt made or even a dozen. But with sublimation printing, you get full color prints in a minimal amount of time, making the sublimation process perfect for one item, one hundred, or one thousand. Even better, each item can be customized! So if you’re ordering 2 dozen shirts, each shirt can have the same photo or logo but they can also each have individual names on them. All of this happens at no extra charge!

So what does this cost? The pricing you see on our site is for individual items, but with quantity orders, prices are deeply discounted, so let us know what you want to have printed, and we’ll give you the best deal on the best products.

We also offer fundraising and resale prices. Please visit our other pages to learn more or send us an email.
